Power meters are high-priced devices limiting amateur cyclists with a constrained budget to use them. While these measurement tools are extensively utilized for precise training planning in the professional cycling realm, amateur cyclists lack access to similar data-driven training support. Furthermore, existing power meters are designed in a way that they are fixed to one bike, resulting in a lack of interchangeability.
Our team, which consists of two cycling enthusiasts with backgrounds in economics and engineering, have developed a solution capable of measuring power with high accuracy but reduced cost. Allowing us to address current shortcomings and access an untapped market of 12 million devices per year, with licensed software resulting in an estimated 300 million CHF market.
