Largo Films, an EPFL spin-off developing an analytical platform for the movie industry, has closed the CHF 550.000 seed financing round and will deploy the new capital to launch the new SaaS platform. On top, the Lausanne-based company has received the Innobooster CHF 150.000 grant from Gebert Rüf Stiftung.
Company's flagship product LargoAI, is a powerful data-driven artificial intelligence program that can be introduced very early in the life of a film. It can be implemented as early as the script phase and can continue to help improve the movie at every stage of development - all the way through filming, post-production and the theatrical release. LargoAI empowers production companies with data-enhanced ROI uplift while massively reducing risk.
Largo Films won Venture Kick stage II in 2017 and has, since then, won many industry awards and will keep growing internationally.
"We have got very initial support for Largo back in 2018 from Venture Kick. This support together with the kicker camps helped us to build our motivation and empower our strategies to achieve the next milestones. Being a Venture Kick alumni, we also constantly benefit from Venture Kick's network, joint events and organisations." - Sami Arpa, CEO and co-founder at Largo Films
