The Green Business Award recognises market-ready Swiss solutions that address environmental challenges while building viable businesses. In its seventh edition, the jury shortlisted three companies, two of them Venture Kick startups: Oxyle and Voltiris.

Zurich-based Oxyle (2020) develops a technology to permanently remove PFAS, known as “forever chemicals,” from water. Its photochemical process fully degrades and defluorinates these persistent substances. The company entered the commercial stage in 2025.

Voltiris (2022, VD) designs solar modules for greenhouses that split the light spectrum, allowing crops to grow while generating electricity. The system can be integrated into existing structures and can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95%. In 2025, Voltiris installed its first hectare-scale system in Aargau.
