CatchEye develops algorithms and a software to improve communication in video calls. We met its co-founder and CEO talking about her upcoming trip to Silicon Valley:
Why do you choose Silicon Valley as your business development destination?
As we plan to license our technology to video call providers and tech companies, it is important to build a solid network, especially in the tech-hub Silicon Valley.
What do you want to achieve from the trip?
We are looking forward to establishing contacts to potential strategic partners, customers and investors. The venture leaders program is the perfect opportunity to extend our network and "get our foot in the door". It's also a great opportunity to connect with international entrepreneurs to get new perspectives and share experiences. Another goal is to validate our business idea in a new environment, that is outside Switzerland. And as an IT business, feedback from Silicon Valley-based startups, experts and investors is highly appreciated.
Why is venture leaders Technology really beneficial for your company?
I believe there is a good chance that the visit to Silicon Valley can be the starting point for a few valuable relationships, which will benefit our company in the long term.
In addition, our business will greatly benefit from the outside view that this program offers. Since we are still a very small team, it is easy to get caught up in details of the day-to-day business and loose the overall picture. The feedback and discussions during venture leaders will provide a good balance.
Finally, the exposure both in Switzerland and in the US will help our business win the trust and support we need from early customers and investors.
