Medical Templates developed the “Puncture Cube”, an ingeniously simple approach to computed tomography guided needle navigation in the body for biopsies and pain therapy. Targeted at interventional radiologists, the technology reduces radiation, intervention time and variance, while increasing patient comfort and safety. The solution has seen extremely positive user feedback. MedicalTemplates is now aiming towards FDA approval by the End of 2017 to enter the US market.
Why do you choose Boston as your business development destination?
We already have good contacts into the medtech scene in Silicon Valley. Now we are looking to expand our network. This trip is a prime chance to do so. On the East coast, Boston with its elite universities and strong startup ecosystem is certainly the best spot to start.
What do you want to achieve from the trip?
We are looking toward to verifying numbers (case counts, reimbursement rates, application domains) of our business model, getting market insights and test sites. Furthermore, we hope to meet investors with smart money that will help us entering the US market and making our product a success.
Why is venture leaders Life Science really beneficial for your company?
Building up new networks in a new market is difficult. Having a team of like-minded entrepreneurs and a guided program will certainly be helpful to find the right connections to spark our network and subsequent company growth in the US.
