Meet our next venture leader today, Samuel Berger, the CSO of Futurae Technologies. It provides a strong two-factor authentication (2FA) suite that offers a high level of security to businesses and individuals to protect their accounts and sensitive user data, while at the same time improving the customer experience.
Why do you choose New York as your business development destination?
We are currently running pilots with companies in various markets and one of our key goals of the coming months is to refine the international expansion strategy. The US is currently one of the top three target markets based on initial assessment and market response. New York is the international melting pot with thousands of companies in the financial and insurance industry as well as investors – and therefore the ideal place for us to get invaluable market feedback to further refine our analysis.
What do you want to achieve on the trip?
The venture leaders Fintech program and our trip to New York will give us the opportunity to have exposure with relevant industry leaders of the New York Fintech scene (e.g. C-level representatives of the financial and insurance industry) – on top of this, we want to evaluate possible collaboration partners – both, technical and financial. Apart from corporations our targets are also fast growing Fintech companies we could support with our portfolio. New York is one of the most interesting Fintech Hubs combining players of the corporate verticals as well as newcomers.
Why is venture leaders Fintech beneficial for your company?
It is a great opportunity for us to better understand the US market players and validate the market opportunities. We also strongly believe in the Swiss Fintech ecosystem and are motivated to share our experience and expertise with the whole Swiss venture leaders Fintech Team.
Have you been to New York before?
I have visited NYC several times. I love the city with its unlimited and diverse opportunities, the melting pot of cultures, the individuality of people – all ingredients for an unforgettable stay, both for leisure and business. I love the Soho area, because of all the small shops and cafés that give the neighborhood a special charm. But I also like the urban setting of the highline park. And the spotted pit is one of my favorite addresses for an easy dinner and startup budget.
