Meet our next venture leader today, Patrick Barnert, the CEO of Qumram. The startup is monitoring, recording and retaining the digital integrity for compliance and risk purposes. Qumram’s unique session recording, replay and web archival solution captures every keystroke, every mouse movement, and every button click, across all digital channels. Every user session – online, mobile and social – can be replayed at a moment’s notice, in a movie-like form, giving an exact replica of the activity that occurred, when, and for how long.
Why do you choose New York as your business development destination?
Qumram serves the leading financial institutions in Europe, and we want to do the same in North America. New York is the center of the Banking and Wealth Management universe. Many of our existing customers have operations here, and many of our incoming enquiries are coming from New York. And how did the unforgettable Frank Sinatra put it? “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere”. And anywhere is Qumram’s long-term ambition.
What do you want to achieve on the trip?
Our priority is customer acquisition. I’m very interested to meet with potential customers and start a conversation. We are already talking to large Financial institutions in New York and I will use the trip to drive them forward in the sales process. We want them to benefit from our solution portfolio, quickly.
Why is venture leaders Fintech beneficial for your company?
First and foremost it’s about the people, the network and the learning experience. Collaborating with such talented entrepreneurs and coaches is helping me – and us at Qumram – to improve our approach. That’s what we strive for every day. Tapping into broader networks, and benefiting from the right introductions, has proven in the past to be an effective way to shorten the sales cycle. We hope to have that effect in New York, with ventures leaders.
Have you been to New York before?
Qumram has had a virtual office at 5 Penn Plaza, just behind Madison Square Garden, since early 2017. So yes, I have visited New York many times already for business, and also for vacation with family. The City has a great ambiance and aura, and I take full advantage of the Citi rental bikes to travel from one meeting to another.
