The project aims to bring about a transformation for pharmaceutical, agrochemical and flavors/fragrances production by replacing petroleum-based feedstocks with widespread and currently underutilized biomass-derived lignin. This sustainable switch has a potential to reduce waste and carbon footprint by up to 40% initially, with the ultimate goal of reaching net zero emissions, facilitating production of various high-value chemical products from renewable resources, while making the supply chain more resilient through providing a cost-effective and affordable technological solution, accelerated with modern digital tools in chemistry.
