Developed as a spin-off from the Eastern Swiss University of Applied Sciences OST, matriq's technology directly enables the unique labelling and coding of plastic parts during injection molding. With the "DM-qode" launch in the first quarter of 2024, matriq aims to revolutionize plastic part traceability by providing a constantly changing code containing crucial information such as origin, process data, serial number, and downstream product details. This innovation has significant implications for medical technology, the automotive industry, and consumer goods.
The funding, contributed by existing and three new investors, will further push matriq's DynamicMold technology.
matriq was ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups from 2021 to 2023, participated in Venture Leaders Deeptech and won the last stage of Venture Kick in 2021.
"The Venture Leaders program is a great opportunity to connect to deeptech, engineering, and hardware VCs in Europe and to learn from other Swiss entrepreneurs and innovators. A trip I would not have wanted to be missed," commented Andé Bernard, CEO and Co-Founder of matriq.
