There are more than 8M abdominal surgeries per year. 1 patient over 4 will suffer from a bowel obstruction. Additionally, 60% of Crohn disease patient will suffer from bowel obstructions. Without timely detection, obstructions can cause and increase in the hospital stay, an increase in the hospital cost and can lead to additional complication such as perforations.
Our wearable is designed to monitor and analyze bowel sounds, thereby detecting obstructions early and preventing them. Our vision is to establish DigeHealth as a leader in bowel health monitoring by developing a new range of digital biomarkers tailored also for managing chronic bowel conditions, establishing our device as the first 24/7 non-invasive monitoring solution.
