Sevensense Robotics AG: Visual navigation for robots
Interest in autonomous mobile service robots has grown in many industries, as companies seek to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Sevensense develops reliable systems for the next generation of robots to navigate indoors in both controlled, as well as dynamic, uncontrolled environments.
Chief executive and co-founder Gregory Hitz, who completed his PhD in Research Sciences at ETH Zurich, believes the process of generating innovative ideas in research can be accelerated by the incentive of transforming that knowledge directly into products through small and agile companies.
Sevensense used Venture Kick’s support at stage 1 to make its first batch of sensors and conduct market research on the professional cleaning, logistics, and automated ground vehicle sectors.
The team's work will be focused on product and project development as they prepare an industry-ready prototype.
