As legal departments face growing pressure to manage complex information while protecting sensitive data, Ex Nunc is creating a secure, structured platform where professionals can search, reason, draft, and manage knowledge with confidence.

The funding, led by Spicehaus Partners with participation from Bloomhaus Ventures, Active Capital, Aperture Capital, Core Angels, and angel investors, will accelerate the development of Silex, Ex Nunc’s platform used by several hundred law firms, notary offices, and corporate legal departments. The company, who was supported by Venture Kick in 2023, is building the infrastructure for legal intelligence, combining public legal sources with clients’ private data through secure silos, turning internal documents into reusable knowledge without compromising confidentiality.

Silex will also feature a digital publishing layer, enabling scholars and practitioners to share content with transparent compensation. Built natively for law and AI, Ex Nunc’s proprietary stack handles data ingestion, legal structuring, retrieval, reasoning, and generation, setting it apart from generic AI tools.
