Created in 2016 by the HES-SO, the Innovation Prize rewards entrepreneurship efforts and encourages interdisplinary collaboration among students from different fields. This year, it was awarded to Swiss Motion Technologies (formally Nextep). With this prize, the start-up won another CHF 20'000 to further develop its project.

Following a first selection process, based on their application, six nominees were chosen to pitch their project in front of jury of experts and volunteers at D ! Club in Lausanne. Swiss Motion Technologies emerged from the group with its cost effective solution to the problem of prosthetic limb discomfort and earned the 1st place, followed by Ambroglio. Busy month for the startup, who also won CHF 130,000 in the last Venture Kick finale, a week ago.
