Kaspar& was founded in 2020 as a spin-off from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and the Zurich Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). The company offers bank accounts, payment services, and a low-cost investment app, including a unique save-as-you-spend feature that rounds up card payments to invest in index funds and ETFs. This simplifies investing for Swiss consumers, helping them grow their wealth over time.

This partnership and the successful seed-financing round—led by Avaloq with support from BLKB, institutional investors, and business angels—demonstrate a commitment to innovation and democratizing wealth management. Avaloq will integrate Kaspar&'s app into its core banking system, allowing Swiss financial institutions to offer it to retail and mass-affluent clients quickly.

Kaspar& won the second stage of Venture Kick in 2021. "Venture Kick supported us from the very first moment of our journey. It didn't just support us financially but also taught us how to pitch and analyze our value proposition. Thanks to Venture Kick, we built the basis for convincing further investors and partners!" commented Jan-Philip Schade, Co-Founder of Kaspar&.
