The funding round brings new partners on board, including Swisscom Ventures, Rockstart, Backbone Ventures, and Kickfund. RTDT Laboratories also received support from the City of Zurich through the KlimUp program, highlighting public sector interest in solutions that support the energy transition.
RTDT has developed a combined hardware and software system to improve the performance and management of wind turbines using real-time data and advanced analytics. At the core of the solution is Aerosense, a novel sensor designed for measurements on wind turbine blades, paired with analytical software that operators increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and make better-informed decisions about turbine maintenance and operation.
With this latest funding, the engineering startup plans to expand its team, advance product development, and strengthen its presence in key markets. The company is now positioned to play a larger role in modernizing wind energy infrastructure and contributing to a more efficient renewable energy landscape.
RTDT won Venture Kick in 2024. "Venture Kick provided RTDT with more than just financial support; it enhanced our visibility, particularly among Swiss investors and VCs. Additionally, the Kickers' camps helped us identify key areas for improvement and growth," commented Aris Mukherjee, Co-Founder and CEO of RTDT Laboratories.
