Plair and Graspeo won CHF 20'000 each!

Two promising Swiss startups deserved the support of the venture kick jury and got awarded with CHF 20’000 each. One provides a web tool for teams and organizations that want to manage and collaborate on projects in a secure interface; the other develops real-time aerosol detectors for research, weather and healthcare institutions.

Graspeo: After participating to the venture challenge program (venturelab), Dmitrii Shevchuk, a 3rd semester Master student in Management of Technology and Entrepreneurship at EPFL, founded Graspeo,  a web tool to help teams and organizations to manage and collaborate in a secure interface. Privacy is achieved by using P2P protocol with end-to-end encryption.
 
Plair : Svetlana Afonina, Plair co-founder, holds a Master degree in Physics and is currently doing her PhD at University of Geneva. During the PhD program, she met Denis Kiselev and they launched this project. Plair developed a device that estimates optical and aerodynamic sizes, and asphericity of individual particles. This tool could be used for research, weather and healthcare fields concerned by air quality, contamination and pollution.
