Oxara secures Pre-Series A Funding for cement-free building project

The ETH Zurich spin-off Oxara announced the successful closure of its Pre-Series A funding round. The investment will fortify its operations, expedite growth initiatives, and provide crucial support for the world's first cement-free building.

Established in 2019 by Gnanli Landrou and Thibault Demoulin, Oxara pioneers eco-friendly building materials with patented technologies. These innovations cut carbon emissions by 90% by enabling the production of cement-free concrete and unfired bricks.
The startup has completed seven successful pilots and secured a partner for large-scale production. With recent funding, Oxara plans to expand operations, construct a cement-free building, and collaborate with industry leaders like buildify.earth and Samih Sawiris. Positioned for growth, the ETH spin-off aims to commercialize its products globally, targeting markets in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Oxara was ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups in 2021 and won the second stage of Venture Kick in 2019.
