While quality is vital in the gaming industry, game testing remains a manual, time-consuming process. This repetitive work not only strains resources but also hinders innovation.

Swiss startup nunu.ai aims to change this by developing the first multimodal AI agents to test and play games. These AI agents can play games like humans, offering insights and feedback that improve game development, especially in quality assurance. With minor adjustments, they can adapt to any game.

Founded by Jan Schnyder, Kyrill Hux, and Nicolas Muntwyler, nunu.ai (Generai AG) operates in both Switzerland and the US, targeting mid to large-sized gaming studios in Europe and the US. The startup recently raised USD 2 million in pre-seed funding, backed by A16Z GAMES SPEEDRUN, Boost VC, Y Combinator, and business angels. The funds will be used for product development and customer engagement.

nunu.ai won the first stage of Venture Kick in 2022.
