Existing single-photon cameras are specialized pieces of equipment with high technological demands, making them inaccessible and costly for everyday users. Such cameras require expensive Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) sensors and are mostly used in complex and experimental setups with high overall costs, limiting their adoption in fields such as quantum imaging and machine vision. NovoViz develops cost-effective single-photon computational engines, leveraging two patents and a decade of research. The startup enables the development of cost-effective SPAD cameras, offering much higher frame rates and minimal output bandwidth compared to existing cameras - all at single-photon resolution.

NovoViz aims to capture a significant share of the emerging Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) camera market, which is expected to reach USD 500M. It will invest the CHF 150,000 to accelerate its market entry and strengthen its patent portfolio.

NovoViz’s team includes CEO Dr. Andrada Muntean, CTO Dr. Andrei Ardelean, CFO MSc.-MBA Samuel Cheng, MSc. Ekin Kizilkan, MSc. Utku Karaca, and advisor Prof. Dr. Edoardo Charbon.

“Venture Kick isn't just about financial support, it's a game-changer for early-stage startups like ours. From boosting our product development to essential feedback at Kicker Camps and from the jury, it's all about propelling company growth. Our journey with Venture Kick has been essential for NovoViz,” commented Andrada Muntean.
