Having nothing then a great idea: Now these startups got the first kick

Eight projects were selected and had the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a jury of successful entrepreneurs and investors. SWISSCEX, Alterniity and BioSemic got the first stage kick and won CHF 10’000 of pre-seed capital. In the next stage they have the chance to get CHF 20'000.

SWISSCEX is a web-based internet platform for the exchange of crypto-currencies, like bitcoins and its derivatives. The founder of the startup Kevin Schellinger and José Rota are computer science students at ZHAW.
Alterniity a venture challenge alumnus and University of Bern spin-off, develops software designed to detect early signs of Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and to retard the onset and progression of the disease.
BioSemic a venture challenge alumnus as well and EPFL spin-off, develops and provides new screening diagnostic tools for personalized healthcare based on an innovative micro-engineering approach. The first product will be a novel antibiotic susceptibility test for personalised antibiotherapy.
