Haelixa (biotech) - former senstags - are robust DNA-based tracers, easy to identify and quantify, and able to measure temperature, light, pH, and oxidants. They allow for fluid/leakages monitoring in many industrial and environmental settings, and for item labelling to ensure authentication, supply chain security/quality control, crime prevention and detection.

Seervision (electronics, mechanics) plans to offer intelligent camera systems that track moving objects without using human operators. The innovation lies in the patented technology and team expertise. Customers are small-scale event recording companies, universities and amateur sport athletes. All three markets are worth multi-millions.

DermAbiotech (biotech) develops innovative targeted therapies for acute T cell-mediated inflammatory diseases for which there is a high unmet medical need.

SensArs Neuroprosthetics (MedTech) develops a unique worldwide solution which enables amputees to feel again from lost legs. More than 4 million lower limb amputees, only in USA and EU, because of the lack of feelings from their leg prosthesis, report pain from the missing extremity, do no manage to walk symmetrically and consume more energy, facing diseases of bones and articulations, and accidental falls. We provide SENSY, unique worldwide solution to these problems, which enables amputees to feel again from lost legs.

2015: an amazing year for Venture Kick
More than 896 million Swiss francs: this is the amount generated by investments in the 403 startup projects supported by the Venture Kick initiative since 2007. Out of these projects, 300 became high-tech companies which created 3’434 new and highly qualified jobs. These stories have one thing in common: the founders who received their first pre-seed capital from Venture Kick are all researchers from Swiss universities. Since almost ten years, the private initiative Venture Kick has granted over 16 million Swiss francs in pre-seed capital to promising startup projects, and plans to support 60 more startup projects from all over Switzerland in 2016 with a total of 2.7 million Swiss francs.
