Haelixa’s patented DNA-based technology provides on-product proof of origin and authenticity. Its unique DNA markers survive all processing and treatment of materials, enabling brands to verify that original materials remain present as products move through the supply chain. This traceability allows companies to validate sustainability claims, monitor environmental and social impact, and reduce risks of fraud and counterfeiting. The solution is already applied across textiles, precious metals, and gemstones.
Founded in 2016 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, Haelixa is ranked among the Top100 Swiss Startups. The company won Venture Kick, participated in Venture Leaders, and has since scaled commercially, achieving seven-figure revenues and multi-year agreements with leading fashion and textile brands. Recently, Haelixa raised EUR 2 million in a pre-series A round led by Verve Ventures and Zurich Kantonalbank, with participation from the impact-focused 212 NexT Fund. The funding will support international expansion, targeted team growth, and closer collaboration with textile brands and supply chain partners, building on prior support from the Temasek Trust Amplifier programme.
