Gamaya wins at the Strategis Prize 2017

The jury of the Prix Strategis, made up of experts in various fields and influential figures from the economic world of Romandie, crowned Venture Kick alumnus Gamaya as the winner of the Strategis 2017 Award on Tuesday April 25th. The winner received a CHF 50’000.- cheque during the ceremony.

Per the criteria of innovation, product realization and capacity of expansion, established by the Prix Strategis, the jury saw in Gamaya the best candidate for the journalist of the competition.
Start-up in Lausanne, Gamaya has developed a technology of high precision imaging sensors that embark on drones to observe agricultural fields. Its data analysis software provides precise information for farmers on the state of their crops to detect diseases, pests, water stress or the need for fertilizers. Gamaya already has customers in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
On Wednesday May 3rd, the 24th Prix Strategis Award ceremony was held in Lausanne. This entrepreneurial competition, whose reputation is now well established has been awarding very promising startups annually since 1993 by the HEC Espace Entreprise student association.
The ceremony, presented by Mr. John Antonakis, first traced all the steps taken by the start-ups to reach the final. Then the five finalists (Advanon, Gamaya, Nanolive, On My Way and Teleport) launched on scene for 2 minutes to try to win the public’s prize.
Honorary guests, Lisa Chuma, CEO and founder of Women’s Expo Switzerland and Laurent Haug, Director of Monito.com, both exposed their views and shared with the audience their entrepreneurial experience.
The podium is complemented by On My Way in third position which develops an innovative laundry service that picks up the dirty laundry, cleans and delivers it to its owners. The second position is Advanon, which offers to SMEs the possibility of prefinancing their outstanding debts through their platform so that they are no longer required to wait for the legal 30 to 120 days to receive payment of their customers.
