Gaia Membranes and Viventis Microscopy receive CHF 20,000 in Venture Kick stage 2

Congratulations to these two startups with innovative technologies in ion exchange membranes and in microscope systems. This recognition from the Venture Kick jury will allow them to move forward to the next and final stage, with a chance to win CHF 130,000!

Gaia Membranes (ETH Zürich) – Fabio Oldenburg – High-tech, Cleantech
Gaia Membranes will produce ion-exchange membranes based on an innovative, patented technology for vanadium flow battery manufacture. Compared to current solutions on the market, the technique significantly reduces production costs and improves battery performance.

Viventis Microscopy (EPFL) – Andrea Boni – High-tech, Medtech
Viventis Microscopy aims to develop, manufacture and commercialize innovative fluorescence light sheet microscope systems for long-term live-imaging of light-sensitive samples, such as embryos and organoids.
