Flyability attracts new strategic investor

Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV) joined Dow and Cargill as an investor in the autonomous inspection technology startup. Flyability is a Venture Kick and Venture Leaders alum as well as a TOP 100 startup.

Based in Paudex, Flyability pioneered drone technology for indoor inspections with a special focus on energy, power, chemical, mining, and maritime industries. Since its foundation in 2014, the company has become a trusted provider of internal inspection solutions, enabling remote data collection with cutting-edge hardware and software for inspection professionals to help them improve safety, reduce downtimes, and cut costs for their internal inspections. The company has offices in Switzerland, China, Singapore, and the US, with almost one thousand clients in over 60 countries.
Chevron, the American multinational oil and gas company and one of the largest companies in the world, has been working with Flyability since 2016, using the company's inspection drone solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of their inspection operations.
Chevron's venture fund was launched in 1999 to identify, boost, and integrate innovative technologies and business solutions that help the energy giant embrace emerging technologies. CTV joins Dow and Cargill as strategic investors along with VC funds such as ETF Partners, Swisscom Ventures, Future Industry Ventures, SBI Investment, and Verve Ventures.
Flyability was awarded CHF 130,000 by Venture Kick award in 2015. It was also chosen to participate in the Venture Leaders Technology program in 2014 and Venture Leaders China in 2017. It made the TOP 100 Swiss Startup ranking every year between 2015 and 2019, winning first place in 2019. It was also named a TOP 100 Swiss Scale-Up in 2021 and 2022.
Flyability garnered first place at the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Awards 2019
