It can be used in shops, restaurants or just everywhere by using the smartphone. Putting up an ATM is complicated and expensive. It takes time to find a good place and the annual maintenance costs are high. Why not save money and at the same time add thousands of 'Virtual ATMs' to your global network for all your customers? The “ATM-as-a-service” reduces costs, increases customer engagement and provides new revenue streams.
SONECT has recently closed their first funding round with PostFinance and launched an app for customers that enables to withdraw cash from first stores in April.
“We got in touch with PostFinance when we won their business idea competition PostVenture back in 2015, and we were in talks with PostFinance ever since”, explains Sandipan Chakraborty, founder and CEO of SONECT (as quoted in startupticker.ch).
