Edtech startup Taskbase raised CHF 1.3 million to to strengthen the team and international partnerships

Founded in 2015 as an ETH spin-off, Taskbase is a Swiss edtech company on a mission to shape the future of education with advanced AI-powered formative feedback for adaptive learning. Taskbase announced a CHF 1.3 million fundraising from private investors and SICTIC. The startup won Venture Kick Stage 1 in 2016.

More than 50 percent of all educational content is now taught digitally. Investors have also observed this development and investments in EdTech companies have increased significantly.
Private investors and the Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC) are investing CHF 1.3 million in the Zurich start-up Taskbase which is now ready to break new ground to take advanced adaptive learning to the next level. The seed funding enables the startup to advance the internationalization of the company, improve the scalability of the products and strengthen the team and partnerships.
"After many years of dedicated research and bootstrapping, the conditions are now in place to become a leading global SaaS provider for adaptive learning," says co-founder Samuel Portmann. The startup, founded in 2015, recognized the market and the growth potential of the edtech industry early on. Taskbase has since specialized in advanced adaptive learning technologies. Their product is designed to enable digital learning platforms to create intelligent e-learning solutions.
