DuraMon is an ETH spin-off that provides robust and long-term stable structural health corrosion monitoring solutions for concrete infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels, and parking garages. Our solution offers early detection of deterioration processes and includes data interpretation services, facilitating cost-efficient, resource-efficient, and safe maintenance strategies.

In June 2023, DuraMon closed a CHF 1 Million seed financing round, with QBIT Capital leading the investment. SIKA participated as a strategic investor alongside Serpentine Ventures, ETH Foundation, and other experienced Angel Investors.

The board of DuraMon comprises co-founders Dr. Yurena Seguí Femenias and Prof. Dr. Ueli Angst, as well as Managing Partner Georges Khneysser from QBIT Capital. This funding round aims to accelerate DuraMon's market entry and streamline processes to support the company's scale-up phase.

DuraMon GmbH was established in August 2021, and by September 2021, we had developed our first Minimum Viable Product. In December 2021, we secured our initial contracts. Throughout 2022, our revenues experienced significant growth, and we expanded our customer base. In April 2023, DuraMon GmbH underwent a conversion to DuraMon AG.

We have great confidence as we progress to the next phase because of the uniqueness of DuraMon's solution, combined with our strong team and valuable contributions from our investors. Our investors' expertise in building and scaling companies is of utmost importance. Specifically, the funds raised will be utilized for team expansion, broadening our customer portfolio, and optimizing and automating DuraMon's operations. This funding round sets us on a trajectory to thrive during the scale-up phase.

With the support of this financing round, we are well-positioned to accelerate our market entry and introduce our innovative technology to new customers in various locations.

"The Venturekick program provided precious feedback that shaped the mindset change from scientist to entrepreneur. The various high-quality training seminars and pitch training sessions became an important stepping stone towards the entrepreneurial journey," said Yurena Seguí Femenias, Co-founder of DuraMon.

DuraMon won Venture Kick Stage 1 in 2019.
