Liv’up
Malik El Bay, Liv’up co-founder, first experienced in 2012 the entrepreneurial role in the venture challenge course at ETH Zürich. He developed Liv’up with other colleagues after more than 5 years of flat sharing experience. They created an online tool and a mobile application for shared flats to simplify its daily organisation. These tools provide flatmates with cleaning schedules, shared shopping lists, an expenses management system and a wall for memos. This way, the households’ chores are easily organised and accessible to everybody.
Morphotonix
Veronica Savu, Morphotonix co-founder, moved to Lausanne, where she has a postdoctoral position at EPF Lausanne. Before moving to Switzerland, she worked at Yale University in the Applied Physics Department. She participated in the venture challenge course at EPFL in 2012. With other micro-technology researchers, she created a unique technological platform called Morphotonix. This technology is compatible with industrial mouldings (such as chocolate and plastics) to customise 3D moulded products with holographic-like effects without any additive. These effects originate from the way light interacts with material surface with roughness controlled at the micrometer-scale and are used for brand recognition or as security features.
Hockey Coach Vision
Filip Kostovic, Hockey Coach Vision founder, knows very well the Hockey's world as he was hockey player himself. He graduated in summer 2012 at Zurich University of Arts as Interaction Designer (Master degree). Filip launched this application to help the coaches to brief their players about the strategy to follow during the match/season and create statistical analytics after a match or season. It’s an intuitive application that offers 3D perspectives of the ice rink and can be shared with all the team easily over the web. The coaches’ daily work is simplified and improved.
Hypo Pet AG
Gabriela Senti, Hypo Pet AG co-founder, is heading the Clinical Trials Center (CTC) of the Center for Clinical Research, University and University Hospital Zürich. Hypo Pet AG tries to solve the problem of allergies on cats and dogs via pathways uncommon in human clinical immunotherapy. The concept is to vaccinate the pet against the allergen instead of the human. The goal of this change of immunization and vaccinating is to reduce the concentration of the protein in the pet which is the cause of the allergy for humans.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THEM!
