BioWatch, the latest venture leader US and Medical Templates are the winners of venture kick’s second stage. They obtained CHF 20’000 of pre-seed capital and are qualified for the next stage to win, if they are successful, CHF 100’000 more.

The BioWatch is the next step in mobile payment protection and smart device interaction. The startup develops a wearable biometric technology as an alternative solution to current authentication methods (PIN, passwords, cards, keys, fingerprint, face) based on vein recognition.
Medical Templates’ mission is to simplify the life of neuro radiologists and their patients. Their first product is a device to reduce intervention time of the CT guided puncture process, effectively making the treatment more comfortable for patients and reducing their received radiation dose. Thereby also intervention costs are reduced and new double oblique puncture channels become readily available.
