The ICT startup DiploTools has obtained CHF 150,000 from Venture Kick as the first funding recipient of the year to develop software designed specifically for diplomatic and policy work. The platform aims to reduce bureaucracy, improve coordination, and free up time for strategy in an increasingly complex international environment.

Despite the growing complexity of global affairs, diplomats still rely on outdated tools and workflows. Many core tasks are handled through fragmented emails, handwritten notes, and manual reporting processes that are slow, inefficient, and prone to error. These limitations complicate coordination across embassies and headquarters and leave little time for strategic decision-making at a moment when speed and clarity are essential.
The ICT startup DiploTools develops AI-powered SaaS tools built specifically for diplomacy and policy work. Its platform supports daily diplomatic operations such as election tracking, coordination of positions, secure communication, and automated reporting for global conferences. By handling repetitive and administrative tasks, the tools help diplomats save significant time, about 50% on core activities, while improving information flow and situational awareness. Designed by former diplomats, the software is tailored to real operational needs rather than generic enterprise workflows.
The GovTech market is projected to reach USD 1.83 trillion by 2031. DiploTools focuses specifically on the foreign policy and diplomatic administration space and already serves ministries of foreign affairs around the world, and the CHF 150,000 Venture Kick investment will enable the startup to expand its product line and strengthen its team.
Founded in 2025, DiploTools is led by Jérôme Crettol, a former Swiss delegate, and Nico Isler, a tech entrepreneur. Their combined background in diplomacy and software development supports the delivery of practical, trusted technology for public-sector users. Developed within Switzerland’s innovation and cybersecurity ecosystem, the platform meets strict requirements for data protection, sovereignty, and reliability.
“Working with Venture Kick was a great experience. Their approach is pragmatic, hands-on, and free of unnecessary complexity. The support they provide is practical, direct, and truly valuable for founders,” highlighted Jérôme Crettol.
