High costs and complexities associated with deploying payloads into space represent a significant issue for the booming number of companies relying on space-acquired data and infrastructure for their services. DPhi Space addresses this challenge by leveraging off-the-shelf small satellites, enhancing their capabilities to provide a shared platform for hosted payloads. This enables smaller entities to implement assets into space within short lead times and for a fraction of the original cost. DPhi's vision is to project Earth's technological achievements into space, thus democratizing access to orbit and transforming it into a direct extension of our planet.

DPhi aims to tap into the USD 9.5B small-satellite market and related services to address the needs of the rising constellations, with more than 4000 serviceable payloads to be launched by 2030.

The startup team is made up of Co-founders Aziz Belkhiria (CEO), Michael Linder (CTO), Julian Harris (COO), and Saverio Nasturzio and Joaquim Silveira (software developers). It will invest the CHF 150,000 to fly their first hosted payload and demonstrate commercial ridesharing for hosted payloads and further develop the launch manifest for the upcoming flights.

“Venture Kick is a must-do experience for every early-stage start-up. Progressing from one stage to the next one, “kicked” the team to deliver on all aspects of the business and launched us into space,” stated Aziz Belkhiria.
