DAAV is dedicated to providing an inclusive travel experience for individuals with reduced mobility, particularly in airport settings. With its AI-enabled mobility device, DAAV-air, the company aims to enhance the quality of PRM (Persons with Reduced Mobility) services while reducing operational costs for service providers.

The deeptech startup revolutionizing services for people with reduced mobility announced the successful closure of its first funding round, raising approximately CHF 1 million. The investment was led by Spicehaus Partners, with participation from Kickfund, TR-Invest, and Dieter Streuli, CEO of Airline Assistance Switzerland.

DAAV-air features an innovative omnidirectional motion mechanism, offering unparalleled passenger mobility. It enhances airport accessibility with seamless navigation in all directions. DAAV-air operates in smart modes, including teleoperation, follow-me, and full autonomy, ensuring user convenience. It allows airports to provide extra mobility services without additional staff, addressing labor shortages, especially on weekends and nights.

The funding will primarily be allocated towards product development, further pilot implementations across the globe, and market entry initiatives. With traction gained from airports worldwide, DAAV is poised to scale its operations and address the growing demand for
innovative mobility solutions in the aviation industry.

Looking ahead, DAAV plans to conduct additional pilots to integrate further customer feedback into its products and prepare for the commercialization of its solution.

DAAV won the final stage of Venture Kick in 2021. "Venture Kick supported us in all aspects: From better positioning and fine-tuning the business case to connecting to the right people in that community which boosted our mission. Jordi and Beat helped us significantly during and after the program. I am very grateful for their trust and positive feedback on DAAV," commented Mohsen Falahi, CEO and Co-Founder of DAAV.
