CellX Biosolutions has raised CHF 1.7M in pre-seed funding to further develop its innovative bacterial solution for PFAS degradation. The funding will support the company’s efforts to bring this solution to market and scale its impact in addressing PFAS contamination.

The investment will also facilitate collaborations with industrial partners to develop tailored products that address specific environmental challenges. These partnerships are crucial for scaling the impact of CellX's technology in real-world applications.

The funding round was led by Positron Ventures, with additional support from Kickfund, Venture Kick, business angels Marcello Campanelli and Ian Metcalfe, as well as non-dilutive funding from the Stadt Zürich through the KlimUp program. "Venture Kick played a crucial role in getting our startup off the ground, not only by funding key early expenses but also by connecting us with incredible mentors and advisors through their network. Its decisive feedback helped us sharpen our focus and refine our business strategy for growth," highlighted Founder and CEO Estelle Clerc.
