CREAL3D (EPFL) – Mix Virtual Reality: CREAL3D is a light-field technology startup based in Lausanne developing compact wearable see-through glasses allowing virtual objects to be mixed with the real world around you in an unprecented way. This highly innovative technology enables users to maintain sight on the foreground or background when using Virtual Reality, just as your eyes do in the real world. This is “the next major evolution needed in VR” as co Founder Tomas Sluka explains.

Mirrakoi (EPFL) – 3D Modeling and prototyping: Mirrakoi develops powerful shape modeling technology for the design of complex CAD models in the fastest and most intuitive way achieved to date. Unlike today’s geometric software which requires cumbersome manipulations or is simply not able to support complex designs, this solution allows existing limitations in the design process to be overcome and helps to create anything imaginable as a virtual model in minutes or hours rather than days or months. Mirrakoi is poised to impact the way interactive design processes for CAD and computer-aided engineering (CAE) is done today.
