Beekeeper, the Zurich scale-up known for its mobile-first platform tailored to frontline workers, has been acquired by LumApps in a move to create a global leader in employee experience solutions. Backed by private equity firm Bridgepoint, the transaction values the newly combined company at over USD 1 billion and is expected to close in July 2025.

The merger brings together two founder-led companies with complementary strengths: Beekeeper's expertise in serving mobile-first frontline teams in industries such as manufacturing and retail, and LumApps' AI-driven intranet solutions for desk-based employees. Together, they will offer the first AI-powered Employee Hub, integrating communication, productivity, and engagement tools for the entire workforce.

The combined company will serve more than 7 million users across 2,000 clients, supported by a team of over 600 employees operating in North America, Europe, and Asia. With approximately USD 150 million in recurring revenue and a growing presence in Japan, the group is positioned to lead the Intranet Packaged Solutions (IPS) market and expand beyond it. With a USD 10 billion addressable market growing at 15% annually, the company aims to reach 100 million users by 2030.

The ICT scale-up Beekeeper has won Venture Kick, participated in Venture Leaders, and been ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss startups.
