42matters, a prominent app intelligence provider based in Zurich, has been acquired by Similarweb, a leading digital intelligence company. This acquisition strengthens 42matters' presence in the rapidly expanding app analytics market, projected to reach USD 15.7 billion by 2028.

Integrating 42matters’ app store, engagement, and mobile SDK data (software development kit) will enhance Similarweb’s app intelligence, providing better insights into app performance, user engagement, and technology use. This helps app owners optimize distribution, marketing, and development strategies.

42matters’ data covers 12 app stores, 2.1 million publishers, 2,600+ SDKs, and 20 million apps, expanding Similarweb's Data-as-a-Service catalogue and offering new growth opportunities.

Similarweb will also utilize 42matters’ expertise to innovate and expand its offerings. Mobile SDK data will provide deeper insights into app development and usage, including competitors’ tech stacks and their advertising channel integrations.

42matters won the first stage of Venture Kick and ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups.
