Cataya (HTW Chur) - ICT, e-commerce
Cataya provides a much simplified, free technology to create professional online shops for small businesses. Stores can directly be integrated in existing social media activities, helping to reach customers internationally. Further, onvana.com provides digital marketing services via the platform to help businesses grow online.
Avertu (HSG) - ICT, road safety
Avertu created an application that warns road users about dangerous sections on their way. The startup merges historic accident data with crowd-sourced driving data from cars and identifies dangerous road sections with statistical and rule based methods. The aim is to make roads safer by generating and providing information on where, when and why locations on the road network are dangerous.
OxyPrem (UZH) - medtech
The startup aims to bring OxyPrem, a well-proven novel brain oxygen measuring device, from the prototype stage to a fully-approved medical product. The device helps high-risk patients in standard clinical care, especially preterm infants, by monitoring their brain oxygenation and alerting staff when oxygen saturation exceeds or undercuts critical levels.
Bloch Labs (EPFL) - semiconductors, microtechnology
Bloch Labs is developing a novel vacuum measurement gauge, whose small size should open new applications within semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and beyond. Its device measures vacuum faster and cheaper than current solutions and requires no maintenance.
