Prediva (EPFL) - Medtech, machine learning
Prediva conceives a predictive machine learning software for coronary artery disease diagnostics and treatments. Combining image analysis with machine learning models and computational fluid dynamics simulations, the software provides insightful patient analysis and generates a personalized 3D physiological model of coronary arteries. It provides recommendations for stent placement, treatment planning and for reduction of plaque progression, enabling clinicians to determine the best course of treatment while reducing costs and procedure times.
OxyPrem (UZH) - Medtech
The startup aims to bring OxyPrem, a well-proven novel brain oxygen measuring device, from the prototype stage to a fully-approved medical product. The device helps high-risk patients in standard clinical care, especially preterm infants, by monitoring their brain oxygenation and alerting staff when oxygen saturation exceeds or undercuts critical levels.
Microcaps (ETHZ) - High-tech
Although microcapsules are widely used in pharmaceuticals, food, fragrance, and other industries, the ability to regulate their size has been lacking. This startup has patented a scalable device to produce precise microcapsules on an industrial scale, bringing improvements in stability and dosing accuracy.
