Younergy Solar Raises 800,000 Francs to Develop its Solar Software

Younergy Solar SA, which sells solar energy to its customers directly from their roofs, raised 800,000 Swiss francs to develop its software. Stéphane Pictet's Virtual Network SA and Engynious AG invested in the round.

Younergy designs and installs solar photovoltaics and battery systems for free. Customers only pay for the energy that the system produces. The Lausanne-based company, which won 130,000 francs from Venture Kick and was rank among Switzerland's TOP 100 startups in 2016, plans to raise more money and enter the Iberian market next year.
