Double the number of spin-offs
venture kick aims at early identification, structuring and promotion of promising business ideas with a clear vision: to double the number of spin-offs at Swiss universities, to accelerate the time-to-market and to raise the attractiveness of these young companies for professional investors.
Money and practical know-how
venture kick helps potential entrepreneurs by giving them the opportunity to win up to CHF 130,000 in pre-seed capital. Moreover, startups can also use the know-how of experienced experts and entrepreneurs and be granted access to a national network of investors. venture kick provides a unique and leading approach with a proven track-record of creating new high-tech startups in Switzerland.
A broad network of investors and experts
venture kick is working in close collaboration with all Swiss universities and relevant organisations in the field of hightech entrepreneurship. A strong link to these organisations is established thanks to the jury pool consisting of more than one hundred important individuals representing the Swiss startup ecosystem.
Who stands behind venture kick
venture kick is a philanthropic initiative of a private consortium and is organized as a fonds of «Fondation des Fondateurs». As an umbrella foundation, it is monitored by the Swiss Federal Supervisory Board of Foundations.
Today, the initiative is financed by five foundations and a private company: Gebert Rüf Stiftung, ERNST GÖHNER STIFTUNG, AVINA STIFTUNG, OPO-Stiftung, FONDATION LOMBARD ODIER and Debiopharm Group.
With Beat Schillig and Jordi Montserrat, venture kick has an experienced management team. They report to the Strategy Board.
The Strategy Board defines the medium- and long-term goals and direction of venture kick. The Strategy Board consists of Igor Fisch (Selexis SA), Roger Schmid (ERNST GÖHNER STIFTUNG) and Pascale Vonmont (Gebert Rüf Stiftung).
