COMBAGROUP implements a new way of growing lettuce.

COMBAGROUP has developped an automated, industrial, cost efficient, environment-friendly lettuce robotized production system. The basis for the development of the COMBAGROUP system is a combination of knowledge in agronomy, industrial automation and robotics.

By controlling the temperature and humidity within the modular production system, COMBAGROUP enables local year-around price-competitive lettuce production in the northern hemisphere where yield is multiplied by up to a factor of 50 and costs are slashed by 50%.

By implementing its "modular farms" near the produce packagers, COMBAGROUP creates the opportunity for the development of close-to-home-market lettuce production in a way that could price-out the competition from Southern France, Italy, Spain, US and Latin America.

IP strategy is in place. A first patent was already filed, and one more is to be filed in the next few months.

COMBAGROUP plans to position itself by 2016 as a legitimately recognized challenger in a market worth 500 MCHF.
