Patrick Nef is Founder, President and CEO of TransCure Bioscience since inception in December 2011. Prof. Patrick Nef has over 20 years of experience from academia, pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry, and not-for-profit public-private partnerships.  From Dec 2008 to Aug 2011, he served as Chief Business Officer at Medicines for Malaria Venture. Prior to this, he was acting Chief Scientific Officer from Sep 2006 to Aug 2008 at Synosia Therapeutics Inc. a CNS biotechnology company that merged in 2011 with Biotie Therapies, and was Chief Executive Officer from Jan 2005 to Oct 2005 at Faust Pharmaceutical SA, a CNS biotechnology company. From April 1998 to 2004 he held various positions including Global Business Director, Vice-President & Disease Area Head CNS at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd., a pharmaceutical company. Prior to Roche, Patrick Nef was assistant Professor at the department of biochemistry at the University of Geneva from Apr 1992 to Apr 1998, and he is still adjunct Professor at the Rockefeller University, New York, USA. Prof. Nef holds a Ph.D. in molecular neurobiology, B.A. in chemistry, and B.A. in biochemistry from University of Geneva.
