Building construction material that implements both solar energy exploitation and energy saving functions

Designergy’s is developing an innovative building construction material that implements both solar (photovoltaic; pv) energy exploitation and energy saving functions in a single element. This will allow the end user to produce and sell pv energy with a disrupting shorter investment pay back time than state of the art pv solutions while allowing highest building thermal efficiency and economy: in the end we want to transform a real estate asset, as for example a roof, from a cost factor into a profit -centre.
Although the company still is in R&D phase (CTI project with SUPSI/ISAAC till June 2013), in 2013 first pilot roofs implementing the new technology will be installed by selected partners and a pilot production line will be ramped up; further on the initial planning and contacts for important commercial projects in 2014 have been started. Moreover first important contacts and NDAs for strategic partnerships set and to be implemented soon in parallel with strategic funding opportunities; we are anyhow still open for strategic partnerships and funding proposals particularly at up- (suppliers) and down-stream (real estate development and projecting) level: an investment teaser is available upon request (in case of interest please send an e-mail to d.lepori@designergy.ch)
