In 2002 Serguei co-founded Innovative Silicon (link) , an IP company developing a new single transistor memory technology. Innovative Silicon, Inc. a venture-backed company with more than $50 M raised in 3 financial rounds was the overall winner of IEEE Spectrum’s 2007 technology award. From 2003 till 2010 Serguei acted as CTO and as Chief Scientist at Innovative Silicon. In 2010 he launched ActLight project developing solutions for portable electronics based on a solar cell of new type link. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 papers and filed more than 100 patents (link). Serguei delivered few invited talks at major International conferences and was invited as a lecture to the 2011 Samsung Future Technology Forum. Serguei is a member of the Advisory Boards of Azbooka and Zeno-semi start up companies. Awards: APLE /EPFL Best invention of the year 2001 (together with prof. Pierre Fazan); EETimes ACE Awards “Innovator of the Year” 2007 - Finalist; IEEE Spectrum ACE Award for Emerging Technology 2007; EPFL Alumni Innovation Prize 2009; Swiss Technology Award 2011 Finalist; Swiss Venture Kick Winner 2012.
